6 tips for Happy Brains

I love this quote from Anthony Robbins, about our brain. Because we create our own Happiness! Actually, you can program yourself (read: your brains) to be happy. The good news is, that there are ways to make your brains happy forever. I have 6 awesome tips for you!


Happy Brains Tip 1: Walk!


Walking and going outside is a great way to feel happier. Walk at least half an hour for best results. It also improves your concentration and your memory! Don't walk too slow though, because this only works if you take a high pace. This doesn't mean you need to run like crazy.


Happy Brains Tip 2: Learn how to Dance!


Teaching yourself new things, especially at an older age, works great for your brains! It can slow down Alzheimer Disease or even prevent it. Especially if the new learning project is a mix of thinking and moving. I can't think of a better way than dancing! It is fun too! Learning new dances is a happy challenge!


Happy Brains Tip 3:  Challenge Yourself more Often!


Talking about happy challenges, in general it is important to go out and visit new places. Meet new people. Step out of your comfort zone and go discover new things. That is so exciting! It keeps your brains in shape and above all: Young! I want to be young! So go out, learn new things. Challenge yourself to do something you never did before. Even when it scares you!


Happy Brains Tip 4:  Avoid Brain Damage!


This is a simple one. It is called healthy living. On my Facebook Page I talk about health related things a lot. On all levels. Avoid all foods and drinks that cause your body damage. Be careful with alcohol, drugs, unhealthy fats, sugar, etc. Have a check up for high blood pressure and Cholesterol on a regular base. Be careful when you are into sports and in general protect your head when you're on a bike or so.


Happy Brains Tip 5:  Step into the Light


Don't worry, I am not asking you to join a religion or so. No such thing at all. I mean daylight, like from the sun. But it works even on a cloudy day. Get 1 hour of daylight every single day! No matter what the weather looks like. It will make you sleep better at night. And in general help you feel more positive. This is important for your wellbeing! When you feel well, you keep your brains happy, that is for sure!


Happy Brains Tip 6: Chewing Does the Job



My last tip for happier brains: Chew! Chewing well is like a mini work out for your body. Instead of going to the gym, chew better! It makes your heartbeat raise, the circulation of blood to your brains improves! The harder you chew, the better it is. Eat raw stuff.

My Personal Law of Attraction Money Miracle Story

This is my personal miracle story about how I began to use the Law of Attraction (LOA). And I was successful from the start. It was an amazing experience and I am so happy to share this with you! Why? Because it proves that it works! If I can do it, so can you! So the reason why I write this blog, is to inspire and motivate you.  Maybe it helps you to dive deeper into the Universal laws of manifesting your life. 

Actually you already manifest on a subconscious level. You and I manifest every single second. By the way we thing, talk, feel, express. By what we dream about. It works on all levels. By becoming more aware of this and using the LOA, miracles can happen!


The LOA (Law of Attraction): Were You in Shock?



Many people watched "the Secret". I did too and I think it was an awesome way to introduce people to the fact that you really can manifest about everything into your life if you know how to apply a few simple Universal Laws. For most people the Secret was their introduction to the LOA. For other people, me included, it wasn't new, but still very interesting.

It made me very happy that millions of people were introduced to the Law of Attraction. Because many people don't know about it. For many ages it was something that was kept a secret. And I never understood why. Because if all people apply the Universal laws day in, day out, the world would be such a greater place to live in!


I realize that the message "the Secret" shared, must have been a shock for many. Especially for total newbies. If you always thought that life is a random game, and all of the sudden you learn that you can create your life, that is a shock!

 A lot of people learned about manifesting in a way they never heard about before. Maybe you were one of them! For others "The Secret" wasn't a total shock.


Deep down inside a lot of people already "know" that the Universe can be helpful as the Source for our needs.




The Start of My Manifesting Journey after Reading One Book



I started learning about the LOA many years before the movie the Secret was introduced to the masses. It was through a book of Louise Hay to be exact.  I will never forget it. I bought her bestseller book, "You can Heal your Life", and learned about the power of thoughts and how to apply them into manifesting your reality.


I was a complete newbie, but very open to spirituality. When I was 15 or so, I already read some spiritual books from great teachers like Tarthang Tulku, a Tibetan monk who shared so much great wisdom. He played an important role into my life.

A few years later I bought Louise Hays book. And once I started, I couldn't stop reading. I absolutely loved it! I still recommend people reading "You can Heal Your Life", because it is a lovely and simple way to learn about how to change your life for the better.

How the LOA Manifested a Money Miracle for me!



At that time I was a nurse student. Always out of money of course. Most students don't have much. And I needed 500 euro to pay for a bill (Actually the Euro wasn't there yet. It was 1000 guilder, but to make it easier for you I converted it into euros).

That was a huge amount of money and I didn't have it. So I followed Louise Hays instructions and wrote an affirmation for it. I repeated it in my head as often as I could. I wrote it down many times a day. And I believed in it. I visualized a positive outcome as well.


It was an experience. Not just doing the Positive Thinking thing, because that by itself doesn't work at all!

Now believe it or not, but after a few weeks of affirming and visualizing I opened my mailbox. There was an envelope in it with my name written on it.

No address. Someone must have dropped it into my mailbox in person. I thought it was a postcard or so. Lovely! I opened it and guess what: inside the envelope was a 500 euro bill! (1000 guilder bill, but I converted it remember!)



No note, no letter, no card, no name on the backside, no nothing. Only a 500 euro bill. I almost fainted! I couldn't believe my eyes! I thought I was dreaming, but I wasn't. My affirmations and hard work were rewarded.

I was so very grateful. Can you imagine that! It was a miracle, because nobody knew about the fact I needed so much money to pay for a bill. I never told anybody!


If I can Manifest so can You: The LOA Works!


I never forgot this magic experience! I still have no clue who was my secret Money Angel that day. It is still a mystery. A happy one. This anonymous gift proved to me that affirmations do work.

There is such a thing as the Law of Attraction. My very own first attempt was very successful! It was a huge motivation to continue to become a better manifester. I practiced it a lot. And still do. Because you never stop learning!

Never forget you always need to keep on moving


Manifesting is like working out in the gym! Once you have the body you love, you need to continue exercising to keep yourself in shape. It never stops! If you stop practicing and learning new things, the manifesting what you want stops with you.

Life is always in motion, because that is what energy does.

Why Positive Thinking will Never Manifest Your Dream Life!

Positive thinking and meditating doesn't work

Do you believe in “the power of positive thinking”? Think again! Maybe you tried it a few times. Did it work for you? If so, congratulations! You can stop reading. But I am pretty sure, you didn't create major changes in your life with your thoughts only, did you? You might have had small successes.

I don't say that thinking lovely thoughts is bad. But it never helped you creating lasting changes. Otherwise you would not be reading this. Don't feel bad! You can make it work! And I will show you how to do it. Positive thinking only works, if you know how! 


Many teachers, gurus, coaches etc. tell you to change the way you think. They teach you, that you can create your reality by thinking other, more positive thoughts. They tell you, that if you think enough about abundance, prosperity, health, wealth and happiness, you will attract it into your life. 

If this were true, why aren't we all living the life of our dreams?


Unfortunately his isn't the situation! I am sure those coaches and teachers mean well. It is what they were taught by other teachers and coaches. If it works for them, they are part of the lucky few people that are successful with positive thinking. But in reality the chances that your life will change for the better, by changing the way you think, is very unlikely.


Only a Few People are Successful with Positive Thinking!


Do you wonder why? Let me give you an example. In the early ages the French kings didn't like to wash themselves. Don't ask me why, they just didn't. To hide the way they smelled, they used perfume.

It is simple: if you use perfume, but never wash yourself, you might smell lovely, but your body is still dirty. Within a couple of hours you need new perfume. 


Using perfume is the same thing as positive thinking with a negative mindset!



Your positive thoughts cover the negative feelings, emotions, thoughts, etc. Thinking positive thoughts isn't bad, but it is only a quick fix. It won't clean anything for the long term.





 

 

 

 

What You need to Change to Make Positive Thinking Work for You!



If you really want to create your dream life, you need to change something else than your thoughts. It is not about the way you think. It is all about your core beliefs. Those beliefs are the secret behind changing your reality. It is not about your thoughts, feelings, emotions, etc. Creating lasting success has nothing to do with the way you talk, walk and act.


All these things are a result of what you believe. If your beliefs are like the dirty bodies of the French kings,  you need to clean them. When your core beliefs change, so will your thoughts, emotions, feelings, life style, etc. With lasting results!


Your reality will change forever if you:

  1. Clear your old limiting beliefs
  2. Create new beliefs instead that free your mind



Clearing Your Beliefs is the Key Factor to Lasting Success!

You need to clear your beliefs instead of your thoughts for long term success. There is no such thing as a quick fix. Of course you would love to push a button and tada your dream life arrives. That would be awesome! But it is unlikely you will ever have such a button to push!


You need to do something to make positive thinking work for you. Once finished, you never have to think positive again!



Action is Fun: Work on your Beliefs!


Maybe “work” doesn't sound very appealing to you. In that case all you need to do is realize that this is only a belief you created




The word “work” itself is neutral. But your core beliefs about working might sound like: “Oh no, I hate work”. Or: “I can never do it, is is too much to handle”, and so on.


Your Beliefs have a Huge Impact. 


They can work for you or against you. Your thoughts follow your energy, not the other way around. If you start believing the word “work” has no emotional load, you neutralize the energy. It won't be so much weight on your shoulders!


If you feel resistance when you realize you have to do something to create the life you want, you need to clear the energy. You need to find out what word you resist against, because this blocks you from getting into the “manifesting flow”.


Here is how to do it:



The Yes or No Exercise to find Your Trigger Word


  1. Grab a piece of paper and something to write with. Write down everything that you can come up with when you think about taking action. Write down all the dirt that pops up in your mind. No matter how ugly. You can only fix something, if you know what to repair. You don't have to be nice and/or spiritual. This is for your eyes only!

  1. When you're finished read it and make a list of the key words you used for taking action. Your list should be between 1 to 5 words

  1. Your next step is to sit down, close your eyes, take some deep breathes and relax.

  1. Think about the word “Yes”. Repeat it in your mind: “Yes, yes, yes!” Focus on “Yes”. Observe how you feel. Yes feels awesome doesn't it?

  1. When you know what “Yes” feels like, do the same thing for the word “No”. I am sure that “No” doesn't feel so great. It feels heavy and dense.

It takes some time to get used to this simple method of using your intuition in order to get the right answers. Don't worry if you don't succeed the very first time.

Simply repeat the “Yes” and “No” feelings, until you know what a definite yes and no mean. You can ask yourself for example: “Is my name …. (your name)?” This results in a big yes. Then ask again but use another name. Results will be a big no.

If the words yes and no don't work well for you, you can also visualize a traffic light. Green is yes, red is no. I often use that, because I am good at visualization.


 

 

 

 

Using Yes or No to Explore Your Limiting Beliefs


  • Think about the number 1 word on your list. For example: “work”. Repeat this word and see what happens in your body. Does it feel like a “Yes” or a “No”. Do the same with the other words you came up with.

  • After doing this, I am sure there is 1 word that felt like a big “No no” to you. To check if you're right, ask your subconscious mind if that word is the number 1 trigger. The answer to this question should feel like a definite “Yes”.

  • Sometimes you have more trigger words. Simply ask your subconscious mind what the biggest trigger is. For example: “Is work my biggest trigger?” Does this feel like a yes or a no?


Clearing Limiting Beliefs Creates Your Reality


Your biggest trigger is also your biggest core belief. You need to clear and change it. Work with one single trigger at a time. You are not in a hurry. Once you have cleared the negative energy, the trigger word becomes neutral and will be cleared forever.

The time you invest in clearing your blocks will be worth it! But you need to DO IT, which means you need to have discipline and motivation.

Ways to Clear the Energy that Blocks You.


Emotional FreedomTechnique (EFT) works lovely. For me EFT tapping is a great method. Meditation works too. I have created a guided meditation for you on YouTube, which only takes 14 minutes. Do it once a day every day for 30 days in a row for great results!

 


Keep an eye on my blog. Because later on I will create more videos to help you unblock your manifesting powers. Clearing your old habits and beliefs will result in a beautiful, lovely life. When you believe you can do it, you will! Positive thinking is no longer a tool, but a result from new, lasting, supportive beliefs.

The mystery of my lamp

I have a beautiful lamp, standing on my floor. Years ago I fell in love with it and it has been moving along with me to many new addresses I lived at throughout the years. Besides its beauty, there was never anything special about it. Until a few months ago. It is a mystery, a beautiful one though! A Divine miracle I want to share with you...

My lamp is an old lamp. I have no clue what it's worth in money. Probably not much, but that doesn't matter at all. It is made of copper, with those beautiful shapes on the foot of the lamp. I changed the lampshade a few times due to wear and tear.

 

It had to be?


No matter the material value, I will never sell it. This lamp is special to me. It always has been like that. I think we all have those pieces of furniture. They breathe a special energy. I think this lamp is already really old. I found it on the street, it was dumped by other people. I was so thrilled when I took it with me! It was like it picked me out of thousands of people to find him. Like it had to be like that!

Something mysterious about my lamp


A few months ago something mysterious started to happen about this lamp. Maybe you will laugh about it. Or think I'm crazy. Or maybe you would consider it coincidence. It doesn't matter. To me it is a miracle. And if you don't believe me you're invited to come and see it happen ;-)

My lamp would stop burning every now and then. Or not start burning at all when I turned it on. No big deal. An old lamp. Maybe something about the wiring or the plug. I called a friend, he replaced the plug, but meanwhile told me that there was actually nothing wrong with it. It was only for me he did it. Just to be sure.

Because there was nothing wrong with the wiring and the plug. So replacing stuff didn't change anything. At some days it would burn brightly, on other days my lamp seemed to take a break or so. I moved it, I shook the wires, plugged it in and out, with zero results.

Without doing anything the next day it would burn again. Sometimes for weeks in a row. Or only a few days. It was a bit strange. Mysterious. Technically where was nothing wrong with it. The outlet was perfectly fine too, because other devices worked well after plugging them in.

Becoming aware of my feelings and emotions


The last 3 to 4 months I started practicing my spirituality again. Because of Lyme Disease and my sudden disabilities, I had been too depressed and too tired to do so. But I understood the importance and I picked it up again. Especially for my healing process.

Step by step I started meditating again and reading spiritual books. It took a lot energy in the beginning, but practice and discipline bring great results. You get better even if you take small steps, even baby steps will move you forward.

Divine Power


Soon I was more aware of the way I feel, act and behave. Which is normal, when you tune in to "Divine channels". No matter how you address the "higher powers" in our Universe. You might call it God, Jesus, Buddha, Allah, the Universe, Love, etc. These are only names. It's in my opinion all about the same: the miracle of love and life.

If you (re)connect with these Divine power, you become aware, you become more sensitive. You notice things that were already happening, but you didn't see it before.

That is what happened to me too. When you tune in to Divine Love you have ups and downs. I had (and still have) good days and bad days. Which is very normal. I accept it, it is part of being a "student of the University of life".


My lamp as a reflection of my inner light


Observing my good and bad days brought a new awareness. Obviously on good days you are a powerhouse, that's what I call it. You feel so connected with the Universe. On those days you radiate loving energy. On the bad days however, your energy is low. Everything seems dark. And this all of the sudden brought an inside in relation to my lamb.

I thought: "Is it possible that there is a relationship between my light and dark days and my lamp burning?"

So I started to observe. And guess what. If I had a low day, the day after that low day, my lamp wouldn't burn. But if I had a great day, the lamp would burn the next day! I made notes how I felt every day. And notes about the burning of my lamp. And guess what: it was always the same!

So in a miraculous way this lamp reflects my inner light in retrospective! If I was "shining" the day before, so would my lamp the day after. Can you believe it? It is true! I am not joking! There were no exceptions. Not a single day! And it still works like that.

Thankful for my "light buddy"


Now my already special lamp has turned into a blessing I could never imagine before. My lamp has become my "light buddy". It is a blessing and a wonderful challenge to make it shine every day! I love its light, it shines beautiful if my inner light did as well. I really dislike it if my lamp refuses service.

My lamp has become a friend I can practice with. It is my mirror. My lamp mirrors whether or not my inner love and light energy were strong enough the day before. 

You may call me crazy


That is your good right. But don't worry: I am not dangerous and I don't harm anyone :-) On the contrary! It makes me a better person. I do my utmost now to let my inner light shine, which will result in a beautiful outer light. Isn't that awesome!

Life is a blessing full of miracles!

Celebrating my successes instead of grumbling over losses

Whatever life brings to you, you always have some choices. You can choose how to handle several types of situations. You can choose your focus and perspective. Life is full of choices. You always have the freedom to pick whatever you like most.

Maybe you read my story about Lyme disease and that this disabled me, but still has been a blessing in disguise. Apart from that, I stand for the principle that you get more of what you give attention too. It is a matter of mindset, the way you look at life. It all has to do with focus!

This weekend I cleaned my bed. You know, the sheets etc. Healthy people might think: "So what, I do this every week".

To me it is not that easy. It took me 30 minutes to finish this small task. Such a task is huge to me! And afterwards I was drained.

In such a situation I have a choice!

I can choose to focus on the fact that it is very hard for me to do the job that needs to be done. And feel terrible sorry for myself when I'm feeling drained after finishing it. Instead of doing that, I simply focus on the joy it brings me that I am able to do it! That I did it, one handed and not very stable on my legs.

Every time I do such a thing as cleaning my bed, I celebrate the success and that feels so good! Not being dependent on others to help me. I could easily ask others to do this for me, but I don't want to. No matter how much energy it takes and how painful it is to my body. I want to accomplish something. I want to simply do it!

I refuse to focus on the discomfort and pain

Nothing can stand in my way. I want to feel joy instead of feeling bad about my condition. And this works. My body is still drained, this doesn't change. But instead of drowning into misery, I celebrate the fact that again I pushed my limits successfully. And that feels so good!

I was crying tears of joy, as I always do after successes like this. I felt so happy and even reflecting back on such a "simple task" like described above, I feel the joy! This helps me big time! My mindset is focused on happiness and every time I feed my mind with happy thoughts and feelings I become stronger. The inner happy me grows, which is visible on the outside. Every time I look happier, no matter what!

Celebrate your successes no matter how small they are

Every person has nasty situations, problems, challenges. All on our own level. And in every situation is a blessing. Success is around the corner, it's a matter of looking in the right direction. You can do it to. By being aware of your thoughts and feelings. How do you handle your dark days? What do you think and feel when you have a challenging task to finish? And after answering this, did it make you feel happy to think, feel and/or act like that? If not, it is time to change something! Think of a plan and execute it!

You can do it! If I can, you can do it too, there is no difference between you and me. We are all ONE! Never give up, keep on trying until you made it! In your own perfect pace!
